Conn’s is growing and is currently searching for an experienced Business Data Analyst to design, develop, implement and maintain business solutions for information delivery. The Business Data Analyst (BDA) creates both custom and standardized reports, conducts analysis, and provides recommendations for process improvements. The BDA will work directly with stakeholders to define requirements and will interpret results using a variety of tools including dashboards, scorecards, reports, and technologies. 


Responsibilities Include:


·Build and execute SQL queries on multiple platforms to generate and analyze reports

·Develop reports/processes to improve reporting capabilities

·Leverage automation to build efficient reporting capabilities on the AS/400, Qlikview and SQL Server platforms

·Manage and support a variety of automated reports

·Develop productivity reports, dashboards, scorecards, and manage ad hoc requests from all business units

·Assist with the management of AS/400 queries, Qlikview applications and SQL Server databases that support information delivery for the company

·Work closely with the Data Architect to maintain metadata repositories and data standards across the company

·Perform data analysis using statistical and other techniques ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data mining


Requirements Include:


·Excellent attention to detail, and solid analytic skills

·Strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively with internal clients and all levels of management including executives

·Experience in developing user requirements and solutions to meet those needs

·Three to five years using of Business Intelligence tools

·Three to five years writing queries and retrieving data on a large RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)

·Experience developing analytics, reporting, and dashboards

·Intermediate to advanced structured query language (SQL) knowledge

·Ability to write and tune SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and functions

·Knowledge of Microsoft BI technologies (SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, and PowerPivot)

·Proficiency in MS Access and Excel

·Excellent business/systems analysis skills

·Works effectively as a member of a team and independently



·B.S. in Computer Science, CIS, or MIS, or documented work experience in the field, minimum of five years

·Two or more years using AS/400 querying tools

·Two or more years developing Qlikview applications

·Prior experience in a retail and/or consumer finance environment
